Server Rules (Admins)

  • No banning players without first giving three (3) warning kicks, with the exception of join/leave spammers.
  • No kicking other admin, let me know if you have a problem with one of them.
  • Never "right click and press E" no matter what the player's excuse is.
  • Never grant server admin to anyone else without permission.
  • Don't screw up server settings through the control panel.
  • Don't scare off guests, make the server a friendly place. If someone is bugging you it is your responsibility to switch channels or separate players into different channels.
  • Don't give out Channel admin like its candy, Channel admins have power.
  • Don't spam grant/revoke CA to anyone, especially admins.
  • Don't edit a channels name, topic, codec, max users, etc.. just to create chaos/piss people off.
  • You have SA to make everyone's time in the server more enjoyable, so you can take care of yourself and other players, not so you can make other admin's lives more difficult.
  • Make guests feel welcome, grant registration to unregistered users, but make sure you don't revoke the rights another admin has already given. To avoid this check Global Flags in the window to the right while the user's name is selected.

    Update: 2/8/07

  • You must not use a "hacked" version of the teamspeak client while occupying the position of server admin in the server.
  • You must not abuse any bugs or glitches on the server.
  • You must not spam the server or any of its users with text or other means.
  • You must not use any "hacks" or third party software to manipulate the server in any way.
  • You must not go "invisible" in the server, obviously breaking previous rules.

Server Rules (Users)

  • Everyone will be given the opportunity to register. First, register as soon as possible, then rejoin after inserting your login details to your address book. Always join using your registered name. Don't attempt to impersonate other players. If you aren't registered ask for registration rights.
  • Don't ask for SA.
  • Don't make loud obnoxious noises on purpose or create intentional feedback.
  • Make sure your microphone doesn't echo.
  • Don't spam the server, you will be auto-banned for 5 minutes for text/channel spamming. You well be manually banned for an undefined amount of time for join/leave spamming.

Channel Designations

  • (U) = Unregistered channel: These channels will disappear when there are no users in them.
  • (R) = Registered channel: These are permanent channels, they remain even when no users are present in them.
  • (P) = Passworded channel: These channels will ask you for a password when you try to join them.
  • (M) = Moderated channel: To talk in these channels you will need a rank about registered. The most common is voice.
  • (S) = Sub-channel(s): This means the channel may have sub-channels.
  • (D) = Default channel: Each server only has one default channel. This is the channel you join by default when you enter a server.

Ranking System

  • (U) = Unregistered: Not registered with the server, these users have limited rights.
  • (R) = Registered: This user is registered with the server and usually has more rights than unregistered users.
  • (V) = Voice: Granted to players in moderated channels who need the right to talk.
  • (AV) = Auto Voice: Granted to players in moderated channels who need the right to talk, this power stays with the specific user each time they enter the channel.
  • (O) = Operator: Granted to players in moderated channels, often capable of granting voice to other players, a small step below channel admin.
  • (AO) = Auto Operator: Same as operator, but stays with a specific user each time they enter the channel.
  • (CA) = Channel Admin: Users who have either created the channel or have been given it by someone else. These users usually have the ability to edit the channel's features.
  • (SA) = Server Admin: The highest rank in a server, these users have the responsibility to carry out order in the server. In most cases they have all rights, capable of banning players, allowing new users to register, kicking players from the server, creating and editing channels, joining channels without a password, moving players among channels, and many other rights.

To see the rights of each rank in a specific server click Info >> Show Permissions.
